First update teaser published

The first update teaser regarding the upcoming summer update was released today. The teaser gives us a basic idea on how the interaction with NPCs will be after the update. In short, the chat system will face dramatic changes, and queues will end for good. The full teaser is posted below.
In this week's update teaser, we want to introduce you to the new NPC chat system. Whenever you want to talk to one of the non-player citizens of Tibia, just address him or her as usual and an NPC channel will open up in which you talk to an NPC similar like talking to another player in a private message. This is an enormous advantage as it enables several players to talk with one NPC at the same time while avoiding spam and confusion in the default channel. Anyhow, since total silence and privacy would be boring, selected sentences of NPCs will still be displayed in default. That way you always know who an NPC is talking to and what their business might be. However, it will no longer be possible that another player blocks an NPC while you are in a hurry to talk with this particular non-player character. Also, long monologues of NPCs, which could previously be interrupted by other characters while you were trying to gather important quest information, can be read without any disturbance now.
Moreover, we have marked several keywords with a different colour to which the NPC reacts. This should allow particularly newcomers to understand the Tibian chat system more easily and to get important hints about the game, or to find the start for an easy quest. For this reason, all NPCs on Rookgaard have been provided with these special keywords, and also some NPCs on the main continent such as shopkeepers or spell trainers. Of course, quests on the main continent will not be spoilt by the new system so you don't need to worry that there is nothing left to find out by yourself!
This is only one improvement that will change in the interaction with NPCs. However, another huge change will be the topic for a later teaser. Take a look at our news section regularly, so you do not miss our weekly teasers.

Library put on hold due to update

As the upcoming summer update has already been announced to contain changes in Rookgaard, we will not keep working on our library until after the update.
The reason behind this is simple; there is a high possibility that we would have a library filled with outdated information if we completed it before the update. Of course, the update may not bring any notable changes at all, but why take the risk?
We can assure you that we will be the best Rookgaard fansite the moment the update is released!

Rookgaard faces changes in summer update

CipSoft announced two days ago that Rookgaard will appear in a new look in the upcoming summer update.
The first teasers for this years update are to be published next friday, the 23th. The teasers will be published on a weekly basis, until the hopefully public test server. The exact meaning of "new look" is at this moment unknown, but we will keep you updated as more information is published.
If we look back at previous updates, where a "new look" was announced, we have reason to believe that there will be no new areas added to our island. It is most likely only a graphical update to the city. But as previously stated, nothing is certain at this point of time.
Map Section Added!

Every serious fansite must offer a map to its visitors. Today, we have added our map to the library! The map section may be found at the following link:

At the moment, the Map of Rookgaard page, as it is called, will let you browse through all 11 ground levels on our island. If you have javascript activated in your browser, the different grounds will load without forcing the entire page to reload. Of course, the page will also work even if you have javascript deactivated.
In the nearest future, details and notes will be added to the different map grounds, and a list will appear below. This list will tell you everything you need to know about the current ground you are viewing!
