You will not receive the best skills or best equipment using this method, but you will advance fast and also have better equipment than previous fastest method. Also the hunting will be much easier. Walk directly north from the temple and head straight down to the sewers outside of Obi's shop. Start slaying as many rats as possible. Be sure to stay near the entrance while hunting and loot every single rat you kill and eat as much cheese from them as you can. Also pick up as many dead rat bodies as possible and sell them to Seymour in the academy library for extra money. According to your starting equipment your hit points will drop amazingly fast while hunting. Once you reach a dark yellow or red hp bar above your head - leave the cave immediately. Run towards the temple guard Cipfried at your starting point and say hi. He will heal you to yellow hit points. Then proceed back down to the same rat cave and continue this process until you reach level two.

Once you reach level two continue hunting in the same rat cave. This time you must enter the second floor which can be found very close to the entrance. If you cannot find it go to the first yellow dot on your map thats shown to the north and go down the hole. Fight off a few rats and loot the rapier out of the chest in this room. Continue hunting in these sewers until you reach level three and have gathered at least 115 gp.

Now that you are level three head to the front desk at Obi shop. With the money you have buy a rope, shovel, sabre, wooden shield, leather legs, leather helmet. Purchase these items in this exact order. If you cannot afford some of these items then buy as many of them as you can. Leave town with your rope and shovel and head north and a little to the left until you come to some rocks shown in the image below. Use your shovel on the rocks and go down in to the hole where you will kill many of bugs. This is a good cave for experience. After you are done rope up out of the cave the same way you came in.

Now head northeast until you find six graves marked with three signs. Use your shovel on the bottom-middle grave and head down. Kill the spiders and go down the hole at the end of the room. Kill the skeletons in this room until you are able to obtain either a sword/mace/hatchet depending on which weapon you prefer to advance in and also a brass shield. After you have this equipment leave the skeleton cave and hunt all the areas listed on the map below until you reach level five. There is no specific order.

Now that you are level five head back to the Dallheim bridge exit. Walk north-west and cross the bridge on to the west side of Rookgaard. Go south and down the stone steps. Go south-west in to a swamp and kill every snake you find in this area while continuing to head west. You will end up at the west shore of Rookgaard then head north a small ways and halt at another landmark. There is a tower full of wasps that is quite dangerous. These wasps here drop honeycombs which is part of the feather hat quest. Also at the top of the tower is a honey flower which can be traded to an NPC on the premium side of Rookgaard for studded legs. Kill as many wasps as you can and proceed south-west.

There will be a hole in the ground surrounded by rocks. Go down the hole. Keep fighting the spiders and keep going down the floors. Kill the poison spiders in this cave as well as the rotworm at the bottom. If you have low health points head back out of the cave and hunt the deer that spawn in the surrounding areas outside. Once you have regained your health go down in to the spider cave once again. Keep following this method until you reach level eight.

After reaching level eight head back in to town and speak with the oracle found upstairs in the academy. Choose a vocation, a town to live in, and be teleported to mainland. Congratulations!
